Successful Attitude, the parent company to BlackWomenRejoice.com, was with the internet at its very (commercial) beginnings, 1994. I created a website where teenagers could go and download positive encouragement and advice. The site grew into a book and the beginning of a company.

I registered the company in the City of Charlotte NC, but could not leave well enough alone. In 1997 it dawned on me that I had in fact discovered all steps required to grow African hair. As I ran around trying to figure out what to do with this information I became more deeply involved with learning computer language. A computer nerd at heart I started Successful Attitude followed 3 years by BlackWomenRejoice.com.
